The “Hypocrite-in-Chief” Speaks Against Christians – Again

Many will remember President Obama’s incendiary remarks aimed at Christians at the National Prayer Breakfast some months ago. Today, the President poured more gasoline on the growing fires of religious intolerance in this nation. Newsmax and Mediaite both report:
President Barack Obama veered in and quickly out of a national debate over religious freedom legislation, calling out Christians as “less than loving” at an annual Prayer Breakfast on Tuesday in Washington, Mediaite reported.
Towards the end of his speech at Tuesday morning’s Easter Prayer Breakfast, President Barack Obamaappeared to veer off script to make some comments that implicitly referenced the fierce debate that has been raging over the last week about “religious freedom” laws in Indiana, Arkansas and elsewhere.
“On Easter, I do reflect on the fact that as a Christian, I am supposed to love,” Obama said. “And I have to say that sometimes when I listen to less-than-loving expressions by Christians, I get concerned.” As the crowd began to murmur, the president backed off, saying, “But that’s a topic for another day.”
“I was about to veer off,” he explained. “I’m pulling it back.”
He then pivoted to his prepared remarks, which carried the flavor of civil rights speeches of the past.
Obama went on to spew his usual platitudes about the oppressors and the oppressed.  But, as Newsmax explains, he never once mentioned the most recent heinous attacks by Muslim extremists against Christians.
Fox News noted that the president did not mention recent attacks in Kenya where Christian university students were slaughtered, Mediaite reports.
In fact, the President has never acknowledged the fact that it is extremist Muslims who are responsible for the slaughter of thousands of Christians in the Middle East and Africa.  He cannot even utter the term “Islamic terrorist” when talking about the growing violence in the world due to Muslim fanaticism.
But, these kind of off-the-cuff, cutting remarks are nothing new for the President.  He maligned Christians at the National Prayer Breakfast.  He has “rebuked” people of faith who dared to disagree with his domestic and foreign polices in the past with regularity.
Apparently the President believes his particular brand of Christianity – that of Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s liberal, liberation theology – is the only legitimate voice on moral and social matters.
Unfortunately, that is consistent with who Barack Obama is.  He cannot see any other viewpoint as valid; only his own.
Of course his snide, side comment was a broadside at the millions of American Christians who refuse to go along with his radical socialist, left-wing agenda for America.  The most recent manifestation of this is the current battle over homosexual marriage.
We all know now that he lied about “gay marriage” to get re-elected in 2012.  He would not have had overwhelming African-American support if he had told the truth that he favors destroying marriage as it has existed for several millennia.
