Prince Rupert's Drops are glass objects created by dripping molten glass into cold water. When the glass cools it takes the shape of a droplet with a long, thin tail. It is a kind of toughened glass that has some interesting properties, such as the ability to withstand a blow from a hammer on the bulbous end without breaking, but experiencing explosive disintegration if the tail end is even slightly damaged.
