Anxiety is an awful disease that can make the everyday life a living hell, and affect it dramatically. It has a horrible physical and mental effect on our bodies and us.
Anxiety creeps in like an unwanted weed, thwarting your emotional security and making your day tough to get through. It impacts our ability to reason and can have profound impacts on our health as well. Fortunately, this elixir we’re passing on is a great way to keep anxiety at bay. Of course, if your anxiety is particularly bad, see your physician about ways to mitigate it in a healthy way.

dry mouth sweating
queasy, jittery feeling in the pit of the stomach

Powerful Anti-Anxiety Elixir

Lemon and honey are known for their soothing and relaxation benefits. Certain compounds in honey have a calming effect, this is prominent when taken in significant amounts.

2 Tsp Lemon Juice

2 Tsp Ground Ginger

1 Tsp Raw Honey

Add everything to a bowl, mix well and take three times a day.

Herbs To Calm Anxiety Naturally

A 2010 multi-center, double blind randomized study of lavender oil compared to anti-anxiety medication lorazepam found that both were effective against generalized and persistent anxiety. Bonus — lavender had no sedative side effects.

Dosage: Try about 80 mg/day of the supplement, or use the oil as an aromatherapy solution.

Lemon balm

Research published in 2004, for instance, gave participants a single dose of lemon balm extract (300 mg or 600 mg) or a placebo, then measured their mood after one hour. The higher dose resulted in reduced stress and improved calmness and alertness. Even the lower dose helped participants do math problems more quickly.

Dosage: Use in aromatherapy, try 300-500 mg of dried lemon balm three times daily, 60 drops daily, or 1/4 to 1 teaspoon of dried lemon balm herb in hot water for a tea four times daily.
