How to Use Honey For Arthritis

All-natural remedies frequently can do as much or more for us than pharmaceutical drugs. Honey, in combination with various other substances, is commonly reported to significantly help those suffering with arthritis.

Below are several recipes for anti-arthritis home remedies that involve honey.

Honey, Cinnamon, and Green Tea

Make some ordinary green tea. Then add in two tablespoons of raw honey and a teaspoon of cinnamon. Just mix it up and let it sit a while to steep. Drink twice daily.

Inflammation is countered by this special blend of honey and herbs because of the powerful antioxidants with which it infuses your body. Some have said that they find merely drinking this tonic to be helpful. Others, however, report that a combination of this tonic with a massage of the aching joints works best.

Honey and Apple Cider Vinegar

Boil some water and throw in a tablespoon of raw honey along with two teaspoons of apple cider vinegar. Drink it twice a day as a sort of a tea, and you should see some results within two or three weeks’ time.

The combination of honey and apple cider vinegar does wonders for your digestive system. It helps to detoxify your body and helps you maintain a proper acid/alkaline body balance. Finally, the following nutrients are found in these natural products: tartaric acid, phosphorus, magnesium, calcium, potassium, pectin, and natural silicon. The overall result can soothe the effects of arthritis.

Beeswax and Mineral Oil

Though not quite honey, beeswax is at least closely related to honey. Since it also can be useful in fighting arthritis pains, we mention it here. In this case, you will be using an applicant rather than an ingested drink.

Place some beeswax and mineral oil into a pan. Heat them in the oven until the beeswax has fully melted. Mix them together thoroughly. Once you have given enough time for the mixture to cool off some, spread some of it over your aching joints. Let it cool off completely and form a casing. Now, just peel it off.

This treatment has been reported by many to reduce the swelling and pain of the area coated. While results may vary, it is certainly worth a try. In many cases, this treatment has proven successful.
