Police Uncovered A Real Life House Of Horrors In Mobile Home

When police in Silverhill, Alabama, went to a mobile home to serve an outstanding arrest warrant, they came prepared. However, nothing could have prepared them for what they found inside: a real-life house of horrors.

The police arrived to arrest Gilmer Edwards for several outstanding warrants. However, they found Edwards' mobile home completely covered in filth upon arrival.
Inside were mountains of trash and rotting food all over the floor.

There were also human and animal feces strewn throughout the mobile home.

The stench inside was so terrible that police had to use respirators to search the premises.

Police removed two dogs, a bird, and more than 10 cats from the filthy home.

Police also removed Edwards' son from the home. He is currently staying with extended family members.

This is literally a nightmare.

How does someone let their home become such a health hazard?!

Both Edwards and his wife, Tanya Brooks, were arrested and charged with child endangerment. They are currently in jail until their bond hearings.
