Drive-Through Done Right

Sometimes eating on the fly is a fact of life. Findings from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reveal that fast food accounts for more than 15 percent of daily calories for people in their twenties and thirties. 1. No such thing as healthy fast food. It all has MSG and other chemical preservatives in it. Artificial chemical sweetners such as Aspartame and others are ubiquitous in fast food. We can't be myopic in our approach to ridding America of its obesity epidemic. We have to look at the artificial flavors, colors, GMO's, incl. canola, soy/bean oil, etc., and their damaging effects on health.

    1. That's exactly what I was thinking, John. I very much doubt those so-called "healthy" foods are healthy once these fast-food outlets are done with them. Their aim to increase shelf life and profits, not increase health.

  2. When I think of fast foods, I think of RAW. Raw foods take no time to prepare, except to clean them. I am elderly and very busy taking care of my little farm. I am alone. I have no one to do all the chores that men do so when I go out to mow, I have to be sure there's gas and oil in the mower. When it needs filters to be changed, I have to do that. When I shop I must remember to put the gas cans in the trunk and get them filled. I must get all my meals and laundry, cleaning, window washing etc. myself. When I have yard equipment that won't work, I am the one who fixes it, or puts air in the tires, weeding, garden preparation, seeding. I have learned that raw is most fast and healthy.
If a young person has a job, they must pack raw of vegs, fruit and drinks. Meat can come at supper. You don't gain weight on raw either.
