See How Chinese Students Escape the Heat (13 pics)

As a result of a stifling heat wave that hit Wuhan, China on Thursday, Chinese students have been forced to take shelter in the air-conditioned sports hall at the Central China Normal University. The students have been sleeping on rush mats and have even brought a few things from home to keep them comfortable while they hide from the 38C (100F) temperature outside.

  1. I worked at a mine in South Africa where every year the temperature soared to between 48 and 52 degrees in summer. We kept working and it only took you one summer to acclimatise. Sadly, 38 degrees is nothing...

  2. Now I know if America ever goes to war with China we'll kick their asses for sure. Hiding from 100°F? Lol!
